High Peak Access Ltd were awarded a contract with Kier Transportation to complete the design and installation of geotechnical works on the M6 Lune Gorge, part of a National Highways scheme.
Two sections of the M6 were prepared and installed with geotechnical netting and rock bolting, using both mobile plant (IPAF) and IRATA rope access to access the working area.
The team installed over 400 meters of rock face netting and rock bolts along the South Borrowdale cutting on this first section of the project, collaborating with Kier Infrastructure, AECOM and National Highways, as well as other contractors on site who have been fantastic to work alongside.
