Preheater Tower Cyclone Inspections

Our UAV team have been working across multiple sites carrying out inspections of Preheater tower cyclones to determine whether there had been material loss due to abrasion, erosion, corrosion or process wear, and to assess its structural integrity.
Our team were able to safely capture visual inspection data and wall thickness measurements within a difficult-to-access environment using our Elios 3 drone, UT payload and tether, removing the need for confined space entry and working at height, while providing valuable information to support clients maintenance planning and asset integrity assessments.
Our Elios 3 is capable of flying both externally and internally. With it's surveying payload, we can create accurate 3D maps and digital models using LiDAR technology. Also equipped with the Ultrasonic Testing (UT) payload allows it to measure material thickness and assess asset condition. Together, these capabilities improve safety, reduce downtime, and provide valuable data for inspecting industrial, mining, energy, infrastructure assets and more.
The Ultrasonic Testing (UT) payload allows it to measure material thickness and assess asset condition. The UTM gauge can take accurate thickness measurements backed up with high-resolution scans in the most challenging areas such as confined spaces and at height. Using LiDAR-based mapping capabilities, thickness readings are automatically geolocated on a digital twin, improving inspection traceability and efficiency.
